Aregbesola leads Osun exco to Ibadan for 3SC/Prime tie
State of Osun Governor, Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, will be in Ibadan today to support Prime Football Club as they play host to Shooting Stars Sports Club in the Week Six tie of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
Aregbesola, will lead members of the State Executive Council to the Adamasingba Stadium to cheer Prime FC to victory against his childhood team, 3SC in the ‘two brothers’ derby’ this evening.
Spokesman of Prime FC, Tunde Shamsudeen, said that the governor has directed all political office holders in the state to move en mass to Adamasingba Stadium to catch a glimpse of the derby.
“Governor Aregbesola has identified with Prime FC once again as he will be present for the team’s away game against Shooting Stars.
“Prime FC and Shooting Stars are the darling teams of His Excellency and he will be in Ibadan with his executive members to catch a glimpse of the match,” he said.
Governor Aregbesola, also expressed his faith in the Omoluabi Giants, believing that the club would secure one of the promotion tickets to the Globacom Premier League.
“The governor is happy with the team’s performance in recent weeks and he has urged the players to keep the momentum and make sure they secure promotion to the Globacom Premier League, so that the state can have a Premier League side next season.”
The sports loving governor has been a staunch supporter of the Oluyole Warriors since he was a teenager and he is now the financier of Prime FC.
Prime are currently topping the NNL Division B table log with 10 points, while 3SC has seven points.
