Pupils in cassock: APC chief accuses PDP of incitement

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC , Mr Dipo Okeyomi has said that some pupils who allegedly wore Christian religious gowns to school in Osun State last week should be expelled by the State government because according to him, that amounted to fighting the authorities.
He said the action of these pupils showed that some sections of the Christian Association in the state were being pushed by the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to cause confusion.
According to him, the Christian Association in Osun State is divided and some of them are being teleguided by the PDP and are playing politics with the children education . He called on the government to watch out and ensure that such occurrence is not allowed in future.
He said what the state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola said was that the muslim girls who wished to wear hijab to school should be allowed, saying there is nothing wrong in Christian girls putting veils or beret on their heads as it was the practice when going to church.
According to him, if we put religion into our education, it will make it better saying when the missionaries established schools before independence they introduced morals and this made students to have good behaviour .
