I will preside over Osun till 2018 —Aregbesola

Osun State governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola and the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the August 9, poll,  on Monday, said with the massive support and acceptance of his government in the state, he would steer the ship of governance till 2018.

Addressing party members, supporters and crowd at Ejigbo during the continuation of his electioneering campaign, he asserted that “we have kick started the engine of governance in Osun and we won’t stop until the end of my second tenure as the governor of this state in 2018”.

He stated that “by the grace of God, before we hand over in 2018, there would be no dilapidated structure in Osun. There would be no poor people in Osun. There would be no bad roads in this state. There would be no community without electricity in Osun. All the basic amenities that our people are longing for, would be provided by our government”.

While contending that a good foundation had been laid by the APC in the state, Aregbesola tasked the people to reject the overtures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who he claimed,  had nothing positive and meaningful to offer.

He maintained that “this is why we are struggling to ensure that desperate and vicious politicians do not return to the saddle of power, stressing that “we were once under their government and it does not bear any fruitful development for the people of Osun”.
