An
indigenous Information and Communication Technology firm, Computer
Warehouse Group Plc., has said state governments in Nigeria would need
to deploy the right technology to improve their efficiency, especially
in the areas of service delivery to citizens and revenue generation.
Group Chief Executive Officer, CWG, Mr. Austin Okere, who noted this
during his induction into the maiden Africa Digital Awards Hall of Fame
which held in Lagos recently, also promised his company commitment to
support state governments in deploying the right ICT tools for running
state operations.
Organisers of the event, ICT Watch Africa Digital Network, said the induction of Okere into the ADA Hall of Fame based on his sterling contribution in Information and Communication Technology development in Nigeria and Africa. Okere, who spoke after receiving his award plague from the Special guest at the event and Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Faufu Aregbesola, noted that his company was ready to support players in the private and public sectors to deploy the right ICT tools towards improving their service delivery efficiency.
“For more than 20 years in operations, CWG has grown from one level to another and has repositioned itself as a pan- African ICT conglomerate that is adding value to both the private and public sector. We would like to partner with states like Osun and other states willing to partner with us in effectively boosting their performance through ICT,” he said.
