Ajimobi, Aregbesola for Ibadan polo tourney


The Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi and his Osun State counterpart, Rauf Aregbesola, will be guests at the 2014 edition of the Ibadan International Polo Tournament which will hold between January 28 and February 2 at the Ibadan Polo Club, with 17 teams from all over Nigeria competing for honours.
Vice President of the club, Adeoye Ajibade, who is also the tournament chairman, said MTN and other partners of the club were the sponsors of the tournament, with N20m expected to be spent.
Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi“This tournament will be having 17 teams in all. We have teams from Kano-Huwaei, Treaple, Hago, Airtek, Lagos Keffi and Obalende. Teams from the host city Ibadan are Briclinks Jericho and Eleyele. They will all play in the Ade Alakija Cup. Apart from MTN, Diamond Bank, Delani Petroleum, Princeton Health Services, ShorelineBoff and Co Insurance Brokers, Lead City Group, Multilink Oilwell and other companies are our partners in this year’s edition,” said Ajibade.
In Rotimi Cup, Lead City, Ibadan Challenge and Leobiga-Heirs are competing for trophy against Ribadu Lagos.
